FROM TRELLO BOARDS TO CONNECTED WORK
How to move from Trello to Aqtos.
Export a small Trello board, prepare it for Aqtos’s import assistant and validate the task data before moving the rest of your boards. Keep the original export as your reference.
Prepare the Trello export.
- Pick a representative board.
Use a manageable board that includes the kinds of cards your team relies on. Note the lists, card count and fields you need to preserve.
- Export the board.
Open Trello’s board menu, choose Print, Export, and Share, then select an export option. Board members can export JSON; CSV export is available for boards in Premium Workspaces.
- Check what the file contains.
Trello CSV does not include comments and its normal board export excludes archived cards. JSON and Workspace exports have different scopes. Use Trello’s export documentation to choose the appropriate file and retain any archive you need.
Bring the tasks into Aqtos.
- Open the import assistant.
In your Aqtos workspace, go to Tech → Import → Get started, select Task and choose Next. The assistant asks for a structured file, with CSV, JSON and XML shown as examples.
- Provide the prepared file.
Choose Browse or drop the file into the upload area. Follow the assistant’s prompts for your file and target workflow. If the export format is not recognized, ask support before changing a large dataset.
- Validate the core fields.
The Aqtos task import announcement covers titles, descriptions, checklists and statuses. Check each with representative cards, including how Trello lists appear in the resulting workflow.
Check one board before moving many.

Trello migration questions
Do I need Trello Premium to export anything?
Trello’s documentation says board members can export raw JSON. CSV and full Workspace exports have plan-specific requirements. Check the format required for your migration before upgrading or changing plans.
Will Trello automations move with my cards?
Do not assume they will. Document the workflow behind each automation and decide how to reproduce it after the task data has been checked.
