KEEP THE WORK. IMPROVE THE WORKFLOW.

Move to Aqtos with a plan for your data.

Start with one project, keep an original export and check the result before bringing over the rest of your work. These guides cover preparation and validation for Trello and Asana task imports.

Aqtos has announced MeisterTask imports and provides an assistant for structured data. Ask about your particular format and fields.

Discuss your migration →

A small first move makes the next one clearer.

  1. Agree what needs to move.

Separate active work from the archive. List the fields and relationships the team depends on, including those that may need a separate migration step.

  2. Keep the source export.

Save an untouched copy before transforming anything. It provides a reference for checking the import and a record of what was available at the time.

  3. Use the import assistant.

In Aqtos, open Tech → Import → Get started. Select the relevant entity, such as Task, choose Next and provide the structured file. The upload screen lists CSV, JSON and XML as examples.

  4. Check before you expand.

Review a representative sample and count the imported records. Confirm ownership, statuses, dates and any content you rely on, then plan the next batch.

  5. Set a cutover date.

Agree where new work will be created. Keep the source available until the team has checked the result and documented any remaining migration work.

What should you verify?

Aqtos’s task import announcement describes support for titles, descriptions, checklists and statuses. Test your export against those fields. Treat assignments, dates, attachments, comments, dependencies, custom fields, automation rules and historical records as items to verify separately.

An export can contain information that the destination importer does not map. A file import is also a snapshot, not ongoing synchronization.

Switching questions

Should we cancel the old tool first?

Keep access until you have checked the imported data, retained any archive you need and confirmed where the team will work after cutover.

Can I assume every field transfers?

No. Validate the exported fields and the resulting Aqtos records with a representative sample. Keep a list of anything that needs a separate step.

Can someone walk us through our migration?

Yes. Book a demo or contact support with the source tool and essential requirements so the discussion can focus on your actual workflow.
