Connect Aqtos to Slack.
The Aqtos Slack integration delivers project updates and notifications to selected Slack channels. Choose workspace authorization through Aqtobot or configure a project-specific incoming webhook.
Before you connect.
Have access to the relevant Aqtos project, its integration settings and the Slack workspace or app configuration. Decide which channel should receive the project’s updates. Your Slack administrator may need to approve the app.
Connect with Aqtobot.
- Open the Slack panel.
In Aqtos, go to Tech → Integrations → Slack → Configure. Expand OAuth Integration and complete the Slack workspace authorization if it is not already connected.
- Invite the app to the channel.
In the Slack channel that should receive updates, use
/invite @AqtoBot. Make sure you are working in the Slack workspace you authorized. - Subscribe the channel to a project.
Return to the Aqtos panel. Under Subscribe channel to project, choose the project and the channel, then select Subscribe channel.
- Check one update.
Make a normal project change that should generate a notification and confirm it reaches the intended channel. Repeat for each project/channel pairing you want.
Use an incoming webhook instead.
- Create the Slack webhook.
Open Slack API → Your Apps, create or select an app, and enable Incoming Webhooks. Add a webhook to the intended workspace and channel.
- Add it to Aqtos.
In the Slack integration panel, expand Webhook Integration. Select the project, paste the webhook URL and choose Add webhook.
- Verify the destination.
Check a project notification in the channel. Store the webhook URL privately: it is a credential for posting into that channel.
When an update does not arrive.
The channel is missing from the selector.
Check that the correct Slack workspace is connected and that Aqtobot has been invited to the channel. Review any Slack administrator restrictions.
The connection exists, but the project is quiet.
Check the project/channel subscription or webhook entry. Confirm that the project is the one you tested and that the action should produce a notification. Share those details with support if it still does not arrive.
Does this import Slack history into Aqtos?
This setup is for project notifications. It does not describe a migration of historical Slack messages or a full two-way conversation sync.
Should I configure both methods?
Choose the route that fits your workspace. Configuring both for the same project and destination may produce duplicate updates; test your setup before adding more connections.
